The privacy policy for the QuakeInfo mobile application is a separate document, hosted here only because the app stores link to it. It does not describe this website.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you type are submitted to Formspree, which forwards them to my mailbox. Nothing else is added, and the form is the only place on this site where you are asked for personal data.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel records technical request data — IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, timestamp — to deliver the page and protect the service against abuse. I do not use these logs to build a profile of you.

Language preference

When you switch between English and Turkish, that choice is stored in your browser under the key "lang". It stays on your device, is never sent to a server, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel and no third-party script that follows you across other websites.

Three services are involved in delivering this site. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Vercel — hosting and content delivery. Receives your IP address and request metadata whenever a page loads.
• Formspree — contact form delivery. Receives the contents of the form only when you submit it.
• Google Fonts — typeface delivery. Your browser requests font files from Google servers, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.

Contact form data is processed for one purpose only: so that I can read your message and reply to it. The legal basis is your explicit consent, given by submitting the form (KVKK art. 5, GDPR art. 6(1)(a)).

Server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).

None of this data is sold, rented, or used for marketing, and no automated decision-making or profiling is carried out.

Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as the conversation needs them, and at most twelve months afterwards, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise. You can ask me to delete yours sooner. Vercel retains server logs according to its own retention schedule.

Vercel Inc. and Formspree Inc. are based in the United States, and Google Fonts is served from Google infrastructure. Using this site therefore involves transferring the data described above outside Turkey and the European Economic Area, under the safeguards those providers publish in their own agreements.

Under KVKK art. 11 and, where it applies, the GDPR, you can ask me whether your personal data is being processed, request a copy of it, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, and withdraw a consent you previously gave.

Send any of these requests to burakodaloglu1@gmail.com. I will respond within thirty days at the latest. If you believe your rights have been breached, you may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, in the EEA, to your local supervisory authority.

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Beyond that, the strongest protection here is that almost nothing is collected: there is no account, no password and no database of visitors on this site.

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.
